A little bit of history
Cal Governador is a three-floor building spread over 3,000 square meters. This magnificent building was completely restored in 1910 by the famous "Noucentista" architect Rafael Massó. From his contribution, which even included the design of some truly unique pieces of furniture, we would like to highlight the dining room, the sun dial at the front, and the porch gallery which leads to the garden. The house is listed as an architectural heritage by the Catalan government.

Josep-Oriol Tomas bought the house in the late 80's. Josep Oriol's first intention was to enjoy it with his large family. The idea of turning it into a hotel came up afterwards. The conversion started with the four best bedrooms on the main floor, where the original decoration was preserved and joined with the comfort of modern life. Thus with these rooms, named "La Tieta" (Auntie), "l'Hereu" (Heir), "el Governador" (Governor) and "el Capità" (Captain), the hotel openned.

In 2003, with another reconstruction of one wing of the house, three new and modern rooms were added and named "Garbí", "Tramuntana" and "Gregal", after the Catalan names for the wind. They may not have the charm of the old style, but in exchange they all have a balcony and a view to the garden as well as a Jacuzzi. Two of them can be interconnected.
